How to Shut Down Faster in Windows 7?
- Click on Start button and search “regedit” and open regedit.exe.
- Now go to the below path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control
- In the right side window find the WaitToKillServiceTimeout key and double click to edit it. Change the default 12000 (12 seconds) to 2000 (2 seconds) or above.
- Click on OK button. Now you are done!
Restart your computer to change effect. This may help speed up your shutdown if you have any such services running.
